Are you moving house and need waste garbage cans? Your waste garbage can is broken or you want to change the size of a waste garbage can?
The collection and delivery service is available to you as the property owner. The waste garbage cans are delivered directly to the property by the AWB or collected from there. If you move, do not take the waste garbage cans with you to the new address; they will remain at the old location.
Garbage cans can only be exchanged or additional waste garbage cans ordered by the property owner or an authorized person, e.g. the building or property management company. Our residual waste containers are available in the following sizes:
In addition to these individual containers, there are combination options such as:
For residual waste containers, a minimum volume of 20 liters per person must be observed with fortnightly collection.
If a household combines two residual waste garbage cans, the basic fee only has to be paid for one garbage can.
Both garbage cans are charged with at least 10 emptyings each.

From 01.01.2025, REMONDIS will take over responsibility for the container service for the recycling garbage cans (yellow garbage cans) on behalf of Duales Systeme.
From Tuesday, 17.12.2024, please contact REMONDIS directly for the following requirements:
– to order or exchange recycling garbage cans
– for complaints relating to the recycling garbage cans
The waste management company of the Emsland district is no longer responsible for the container service for the yellow recycling garbage can!

In the case of rented residential properties, it is necessary for the owner to order the garbage can exchange. Please contact your landlord directly.

The application for delivery, change or return of a waste container as well as the application for replacement of defective containers can be filled out on the PC and sent to us directly.
Please make a note of the container number of the waste container to be replaced before calling our staff. This can be found directly on the container body on the white identification sticker on the left-hand side.

The number of garbage cans per residential property can be changed free of charge once per calendar year for each residual waste container. The container exchange is carried out by the AWB container service.
The container exchange fee does not apply to
New buildings – initial connection of a property to the waste disposal system.
Renovation or conversion, vacancy – waste garbage cans are only collected if the residential building will be vacant for at least six months.
Purchase or sale of a property/change of ownership: The exchange or delivery of containers is free of charge for the new owner (once per calendar year).
Replacement delivery of a waste container of the same size, e.g. if the waste container has fallen into the vehicle during emptying or has become unusable due to a defect for which the user is not responsible.
Delivery of waste containers by order of the AWB
Only the property owner or authorized administrator. Tenants should contact their landlord.
A change notice will be issued after the exchange order has been carried out. If a SEPA direct debit mandate has been issued to the AWB, the exchange fee (EUR 11.00 per journey) will be debited from the specified bank account.
You can change or cancel the appointment up to two working days before the planned exchange date at the AWB customer center during the office hours* listed below without losing your entitlement to a free exchange date or being charged the container exchange fee.

Have you registered a container exchange and missed the deadline for providing the waste container(s) for exchange? Please understand that an exchange fee of €10.00 will be charged for the second and each subsequent journey within a calendar year.
