More waste than space? We know more.

Garbage can full?

Garbage can full?

Freshly wallpapered and not all the wallpaper scraps fit in the residual waste garbage can? Had a party and the bin can’t hold the leftovers? The visit was nice, but the diaper kids are clogging up the gray garbage can?

Fill the waste garbage can correctly and close the lid

Overfilled and incorrectly filled waste garbage cans could remain empty!

Make sure that your residual waste garbage can, organic waste garbage can, paper garbage can and recycling bin can always be emptied reliably:
Fill correctly and place with the bin lid closed and the lid opening facing the street!

Why is this important?
The fairness of charges is overridden because no charges are paid for waste that exceeds the capacity of the residual waste garbage can.
Waste from overfilled garbage cans easily falls out during emptying due to the open lid and pollutes sidewalks and streets.
Overfilled waste garbage cans can lead to unpleasant odors and attract vermin.

Please do not compact the residual waste in the waste garbage can!
Waste that has been pressed into the bins cannot fall out completely during the emptying process.
Specially marked additional residual waste bags are available for residual waste that exceptionally no longer fits in the garbage can.

Additional waste bags

For such and similar cases, the district of Emsland offers, in addition to the residual waste garbage can, additional residual waste bags with district imprint for a fee of € 5.90 (for 50 liter bags, max. 15 kg; remaining stocks may still be available at a different price).

These bags must be placed next to the gray residual waste garbage can on the day of the respective residual waste collection. If possible, please put particularly heavy waste in the residual waste garbage can and lighter waste in the additional bag.

Please refer to the overview for the sales outlets in your area or call the AWB customer center on 05931 599 699 or send an e-mail.

Avoid persistent overcrowding!

Waste garbage cans must be available in sufficient size. Every property owner must use waste containers of a size that is sufficient for the expected amount of waste. If increased quantities of waste accumulate over a longer period of time, it makes sense to switch to one or more larger waste containers. The following applies to residual waste: A minimum volume cannot be completely dispensed with, because even with the most environmentally conscious behavior, residual waste is produced, the disposal of which must be ensured. In addition, the district wants to prevent the risk of waste being disposed of via “dark channels”, the disposal of which in turn costs the fee payer dearly.

The size of the organic waste garbage can is freely selectable.
