Since 2012, Abfallwirtschaftsbetrieb Landkreis Emsland (AWB) has been centrally responsible for the delivery of waste fee notices and the collection of waste fees throughout the district.
Due to the adjustment of the disposal fees as of 01.01.2025, notifications will be sent to all property owners by mid-February.
You can view your current waste fee notices via our online customer portal. The access data can be found on the notification of charges.
Any fee-relevant changes (e.g. applications for container exchange, applications for fee reduction or change of ownership) that have been processed by 08.01.2025 have already been taken into account in this notification.
If you have submitted an application for a fee reduction or container exchange that has not yet been taken into account in the fee notification, you will automatically receive a change notification after the application has been processed or the container has been exchanged.Incoming payments and changes to bank details were taken into account until 10.01.2025.
The waste fee notices will be sent out annually from 2022 due to the emptying-dependent payment. A waste fee notice will be sent when a household is newly connected to the public waste disposal system. If a fee-relevant change has occurred, e.g. if the waste fees have been adjusted or if the container size, container type or number has changed, a change notice will be sent.

Payment dates and due dates
The waste disposal fees are generally due quarterly on February 15, May 15, August 15 and November 15 of each year. In order not to miss any payment deadlines, we recommend using the SEPA direct debit procedure (SEPA direct debit). The amounts due are automatically collected from the specified account on the respective due dates and no further costs are incurred. If you do not participate in the SEPA direct debit procedure, we ask you to transfer the waste fees to one of the accounts of Abfallwirtschaftsbetrieb Landkreis Emsland by the due date. The bank details can be found on the waste fee notice and please state your reference number as the reason for payment.

You can download and print out all forms and applications in the form center. The application for the delivery, change or return of a waste garbage can and the application for the exchange of defective garbage cans can be completed directly on the PC.

If both conditions (reduction for small children and care dependency of a household member) are met, the fee reduction can also be granted at the same time. In this case, the fee is reduced by €9.00 per month.
