In addition, there is a hazardous waste collection service at selected recycling centers in the district of Emsland from April to September during opening hours. You can find the dates here on the homepage.
On request, the AWB offers a chargeable collection service for larger quantities and for commercial enterprises that do not generate more than 2,000 kg/a of hazardous waste. For this service, in addition to the disposal costs, there is a fee for the arrival and departure as well as for the specialist. Please bring unmixed hazardous waste, preferably in its original packaging or tightly closed in unbreakable containers, to the hazardous waste mobile.
Accepted are e.g: Varnishes, paints, chemicals, device batteries, medicines, paint strippers, all-purpose cleaners, car polish, oven cleaners, bleaching agents, decolorizers, descaling agents, joint sealants, poisons, wood preservatives, nail polish removers, fertilizers, stain removers, antifreeze, brush cleaners, pipe cleaners, rust inhibitors, spray cans (with residual contents), sanitary cleaners, thermometers

Waste containing hazardous substances up to a total quantity of 20 kilograms or 20 liters can also be disposed of free of charge (with the exception of used oil and industrial batteries) at one of the four central landfills in Dörpen, Wesuwe, Flechum and Venneberg.
Larger quantities of hazardous waste should be taken to the hazardous waste interim storage facility on the site of the Wesuwe central landfill. Private households, public institutions and commercial companies can drop off waste containing hazardous substances here for a fee.
Small electrical appliances up to a size of 35 cm x 50 cm can be thrown into the appropriate containers at the recycling centers.
No electrical appliances are accepted at the hazardous waste mobile!
